Fitment Advice

Specialist knowledge may be required for repair or replacement work on clutch systems. The work should be done by a competent, qualified professional with the required tools. If the clutch exhibits snatching, dragging or if any unusual noises come from the transmission immediately discontinue use of the motorcycle and contact an experienced professional mechanic. FP Series (Cork Friction Plates) These clutch friction plates are manufactured from a cork-based material similar to the original equipment and we recommend that they are soaked in oil before installation. Clutch Springs It is always best to fit new clutch springs each time the clutch is changed due to heat fatigue of old units. Heavy duty clutch springs are often recommended but may increase lever pressure required to operate the clutch. Make sure you are comfortable with new settings and can easily disengage the clutch with minimal hand pressure.
